I've been doing Joomla content updates for awhile, but still learning admin side, apologies in advance if this post is lacking proper info.
I'm cloning an existing site hosted on GoDaddy. I created a subdomain on the existing hosting and copied the current website over. I customized on the subdomain for the new site and then tarred up the files and exported the database and moved them over to a new GoDaddy hosting.
On the new hosting site, I untarred the files, created the DB/user, imported to the DB and updated relevant settings/paths in configuration.php
I'm able to log in to the Administrator with no issues, but when I try to login to the front end website, the login fails.
I've tried with my user (same as I use for Administrator) and another registered user. Sometimes I get a session expired error, sometimes I get no error and just return to the login screen.
I've cleared the cache, deleted rows from the session table, cleared my browser cache/cookies. No luck.
I turned on debug and set messages to maximum, but don't get any output from the debug when the login fails. Appreciate any insights!
