Right, I have removed "scripts" as a prohibited element in the TinyMCE editor, but it still strips that out of the code. Coincidentally, when I changed the default editor for joomla to codemirror everything works just fine. My only issue there is I don't have a lot of experience with writing HTML code, which is why I like using wisiwig. I guess this is just something I need to study up on.
