I previously asked fo a way to put a "Social Module" immediately to the right of the "Brand" logo.
However - the Brand module is not just like any other module - for some reason it is treated differently.
I got suggestions to solve this requirement by modifying a child template. They possibly would work.
However - I decided to skip the Brand module entirely and instead put my Brand logo, and my special "social icons" in the below-top module instead. It seemed much more straight-forward and so far I have seen no bad consequences. (Except that I have to avoid using the "logical place" for the "Brand logo" in the template ;-) Otherwise it works as expected.
I am still curious about why the Brand module was made less accessible than all the other modules?
And if you know of some "gothcha" that is going to hit me later, then I am interrested to learn more.
